Five Things On A Friday - the gossipy one
Time to enter our chatty era...
‘You caught her in the paddock with Buttercup? And how many carrots? Get out of town!’
Hello to my glorious Confident Creatives! Welcome to my Friday treat email! In a bit I will be gossiping about gossip. Firstly - I’m on my favourite podcast, doing a very odd rendition of Jacob Rees Mogg’s favourite song, Andrew WK’s Party Hard. My love for Lou Sanders is well documented - you can hang out with her, and me, on Cuddle Club here. And if you can get to Kent on Saturday 21 October you can hang out with us in real life, plus Andi Osho, and get signed copies of our books at the Margate Bookie. (You can also see Adam Kay, Deborah Levy, Tessa Hadley, Grace Dent… quite the line up!)
Also, my creative fiction course Write Like A Reader is baaaaaack - we start on Sunday 29th October, on Zoom. We have five Sunday night sessions. I’ll be telling you everything I know about how to write a novel. (If you can’t make any, they’ll be available on video playback.) I’ll be covering plot, pacing, character building and structure - but also, how to stay inspired, excited and curious. If you sometimes feel as though you need an emotional cheerleader for a project, I’ll be there to keep your creative pecker up. Places are still available and I would love to work with you. For the full syllabus, pricing and other details, email me - creativeconfidenceclinic@gmail.com. (And if you’re subscribing to the free version of this newsletter, I will gift you a full subscription if you join the course. If you’d like to subscribe, an annual subscription is currently half price. And you’ll get access to the full archive, including past masterclasses, and upcoming ones…
Now, for the hot, hot goss…
