Hello Confident Creatives! How’s morale? How’s everyone doing? How is everyone feeling?
I had the loveliest response to Monday’s essay - huge thanks to everyone who has read it and shared it. The reaction makes me think that we’re all feeling pretty end-of-year-ish. We’re overwhelmed, we’re exhausted, and we’re muddling through. I’m sending as much love and strength as I can. I’m planning to write about end of the year treats, and why we need them. Meanwhile, I’d love to hear about your treats of choice. The ones you plan for, and the ones you dream about. Do you want a cinnamon roll, new trainers, or a cruise around the coast of Monte Carlo? (I think Monte Carlo is the coast? You know what I mean. The riviera.)
This edition of the newsletter is for paid subscribers to the CCC. I’ve heard from some people who have had trouble upgrading their subscription - Substack has been a bit glitchy. The half price Autumn offer was supposed to end at the start of November, but I’m going to keep it open for a few more days, while I wait to hear from the Substack team. Please get in touch if you have any problems.
A full subscription to the Creative Confidence Clinic gets you an access all areas pass. You can come to the Sunday Session masterclasses (and watch the ones you’ve missed on catch up.) We’ve got a great session coming up with bestseller Lucy Vine. If you’re querying, or out on submission, it’s definitely worth checking out. You get the full archives. You get a discount on my writing courses - Write Like A Reader, my creative fiction course, will be back early 2024 - and you get the extra Friday letter. As always, if you can’t pay at the moment, but you’d like to join us, I’d be very happy to give you a gift subscription. Email creativeconfidenceclinc@gmail.com . And if you’re a paying subscriber, thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m so, so grateful for your support, and you’re helping me to share this newsletter widely. If there’s anything you’d love me to write about or talk about, get in touch and let me know!
Now - for your aural delectation - here are my five feel good things to listen to…
