Five fairly frightening things on a Friday
Sort of spooky, altogether ooky...
Hello, my precious Confident Creatives! How are you keeping? How’s morale? (TM The Midult). As always, I’m very happy and grateful to be in your eyes, and your inbox. I’m also very excited about spending some time with some of you on Zoom. My creative fiction course Write Like A Reader starts on Sunday, and I’m really looking forward to some cosy, nourishing conversations that will hopefully make everyone feel excited about writing. It’s not too late to join us! Email me - creativeconfidenceclinic@gmail.com for all of the details (and there is some info at the end of this post.)
My Autumn subscription offer will be ending on 31 October. An annual subscription to the CCC is currently half price. This gets you full access to the archives, and automatic entry to the Sunday Sessions - my monthly masterclasses with industry experts - and you can watch the ones you’ve missed on catch up. I’ll be announcing the November session soon, and I have a great guest lined up for you. If you’d love to be a part of the fun, but you can’t pay at the moment, do not worry! Just email me - creativeconfidenceclinic@gmail.com - and I’ll be happy to give you a gift subscription. And if you are able to pay, I’m deeply grateful. It gives me a big emotional and practical boost, and you’re helping me to share this newsletter with as many people as possible.
Five Things On A Friday is my bonus newsletter - a little list of recommendations, and a love letter/thank you letter to every full subscriber at the CCC. It’s the season to be spooky, but if I’m completely honest, I scare quite easily. So I’ve chosen the most horrifying books I’ve ever read - although I don’t think any of them technically qualify as horror. I promise they’re all beautifully and brilliantly written, and they should induce a slight sense of unease.
Now, let’s get this semi scary party started…
